New Kinds of Writing and Video Editing:  Admiring MEET THE PRESS on MSN.com

I watched MEET THE PRESS this weekend via the web vs via cable for the first time.  The day's show was available the same day, in California, at 11am.  The page's video controls are really great.

The latest version of the "clip and share" functionality lets you use the closed captioning, layed out in paragraphs, to select the clip you want to make.    I was struck by the possibilities this enables to use words and writing instead of a timeline to edit video.
